Since the launch of the HKIA Cargo Data Platform in 2021, AAHK has been dedicated to advancing industry-wide digitalization, through establishing a trusted and neutral network that connects stakeholders of our air cargo community. Last year, we collaborated with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) on the Commercial Data Interchange (CDI) to facilitate trade financing and successfully developed a use case. Building on this momentum, we are excited to further our partnership with HKMA this year as a member of the Expert Panel on Project CargoX established by HKMA.

CargoX is a multi-year public-private collaboration, aimed at streamlining and optimizing trade finance processes through the effective utilization of cargo logistics data; developing digital solutions to improve accessibility to trade finance for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs); and exploring connections with international data partners to create  trade financing use cases for banks in Hong Kong.

Looking ahead, AAHK will continue strengthening partnerships with different financial institutions, developing more innovative business collaboration models that support the industry in adapting to the evolving business environment.
