Asian Logistics, Maritime and Aviation Conference 2024
The 14th Asian Logistics, Maritime and Aviation Conference (ALMAC) jointly organised by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), was held at Hong Kong Conventional and Exhibition Centre, from 18 to 19 November 2024. This year’s conference attracted some 2,200 participants from over 30 countries and regions, providing a platform for industry players and shippers to explore global business opportunities and establish resilient and sustainable supply chains. It also featured over 80 experts and industry leaders from the maritime, air freight, logistics and supply chain sector speaking on major issues facing the industry at over 20 conference sessions.
A highlight of the ALMAC is the Air Freight Forum that HKIA co-organized with HKTDC on 18 November. In two forum sessions, with the topics of “The Cargo Aviation Hub of the World” and “Digital Air Cargo and Global Trade Ecosystem”, the expert panels provided in-depth insights into how businesses select their preferred air cargo gateways. They also emphasised the significance of digitalisation and a community-based digital ecosystem in fostering collaboration – both are essential for building a resilient and future-proof cargo supply chain.
