HKIALP 2026 New Year Tea Gathering Successfully Held


On the afternoon of January 13, 2026, the “Connecting the Greater Bay Area to the World” Hong Kong International Airport Dongguan Logistics Park (“HKIALP”) 2026 New Year Tea Gathering – hosted by the Airport Authority Hong Kong (“AAHK”) – was successfully held at the Hilton Hotel, Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center. The event brought together over 300 guests from airlines, air freight forwarders, cargo terminal operators, and warehouse service providers. Participants reviewed the achievements of the past year and looked forward to strengthening cooperation and development in the new year.

The tea gathering began in a warm and vibrant atmosphere. Mr. Ian Kwok, General Manager of Aviation Logistics (Dongguan) at AAHK, delivered the opening remarks, reviewing the HKIALP’s outstanding accomplishments in 2025 in HKIALP’s efficiency enhancement and service expansion, while extending his gratitude for the trust and support of industry partners.

Following this, AAHK representatives provided a detailed introduction to the Logistics Park’s Service Guide, helping enterprises identify new collaboration opportunities in the coming year.

The event also featured an online interactive session. Guests participated enthusiastically, creating a relaxed and lively atmosphere that reflected the dynamism and global ambitions of Greater Bay Area enterprises.

In the thematic sharing session that followed, speakers from airlines, logistics companies, and AAHK held in-depth discussions on topics including “Leveraging New Models to Seize New Opportunities” and “Air Cargo Market Trends and Challenges in 2026”, offering forward-looking insights for the industry.

At the close of the event, Mr. Chapman Fong, Director of Hub Development at AAHK, delivered a concluding speech, expressing appreciation for the support from all partners and encouraging the industry to work together toward a prosperous future.

Hong Kong International Airport was ranked the world’s busiest cargo airport for the 14th time in 2024, and its cargo throughput in 2025 exceeded 5 million tonnes . As a key hub connecting the Greater Bay Area with the world, HKIALP will continue joining hands with industry partners to drive efficient regional logistics development and co-create a thriving future.
