On November 24, 2025, Airport Authority Hong Kong (“AAHK”) was invited to participate in the seminar, “The Future of Trade Finance Series: Data-Driven Smart Payments for Tomorrow’s Supply Chains”, hosted by Visa at the Regent Hotel Hong Kong. The seminar gathered representatives from a wide range of companies and organisations, including banks, freight forwarders, FinTech firms, industry associations, and universities, providing a platform for exchanging ideas and insights on smart payment solutions.
In the seminar, Visa introduced the pivotal smart working capital solution, developed in collaboration with AAHK and Shanghai Commercial Bank to streamline payments between freight forwarders, by harnessing verified cargo data on HKIA Cargo Data Platform. Another key highlight of the event was the panel discussion, in which expert panelists shared their forward-looking perspectives on digital trade finance.
