Airport Authority Hong Kong has attained certification under the Environmental Assessment (IEnvA) programme of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). This accomplishment makes Hong Kong airport community the first airport cargo ecosystem to be awarded this certification.

This success reflects the commitment to environmental stewardship and collaborative efforts among key stakeholders in Hong Kong air cargo sector. From carbon reduction and energy efficiency initiatives to circular economy practices, sustainability is embedded across the operations of the world's busiest cargo airport.
