As the world’s first airport to attain the full suite of Center of Excellence for Independent Validators (CEIV) certifications from the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) for the handling of special cargo Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) is committed to continue reinforcing our operations excellence and to unlock the full potential of Hong Kong’s air cargo through industry collaborations.

Since 2023, HKIA has established a collaboration on Corridor 3.0 Project with Miami International Airport, Pharma.Aero and Cathay Cargo, and proudly announced the successful validation of the Hong Kong-Miami pharmaceutical air corridor in November 2024. The latest initiative builds on the achievements of Pharma.Aero projects Corridor 1.0, established in 2020 between HKIA and Brussels Airport for validation of secure handling process and visibility in the supply chain, and Corridor 2.0 with proven Template Protocol, to validate the route between HKIA and Miami International Airport specifically for secure and temperature-controlled airport-to-airport transportation of pharmaceutical products.
